About the DC Trip!!

A, D, and a bunch of their other friends get to go on this ah-mazing trip to Washington DC in February During President's Week!!! How great is that?? 48 people got chosen out of 55, and we were 2 of them!! We go through the school and a program called Smithsonian Student Travel. At our school, this is a hee-uge thing! Everyone is super excited about it! We dont only get to go to Washington, though. Look at our itinerary!!

Our itinerary!!

Day 1 : Boston
Take a walking tour of the Boston

Optional: Duck boat tour of the city

Visit Quincy Market


Day 2 : Boston
Take a guided tour of Boston and Cambridge

Take a guided tour of Lexington and Concord

Visit the Prudential Center Skywalk

Optional: Theater performance

Day 3 : New York City
Travel to New York City

Take a guided tour of New York

Visit the Empire State Building by night

Day 4 : New York City
Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Explore Times Square

Attend a Broadway show

Day 5 : Philadelphia
Travel to Philadelphia

Take a guided tour of Philadelphia

Travel to Washington, D.C.

Day 6 : Washington, D.C.
Take a guided tour of Washington, D.C.

Visit Mount Vernon

Enjoy an evening activity

Day 7 : Washington, D.C.
See the U.S. Capitol*, the U.S. Surpreme Court and Library of Congress*

Visit the National Archives

See Ford's Theater and Petersen House

Optional: International Spy Museum

Take a night tour of Washington

The Broadway Show!!

D's got word on the Broadway Show that we're gonna see!!

D, here!! Mrs. Charrone, the teacher involve of the DC trip is also my ASB (Associated Student Body) teacher and SSR (Sustained Silent Reading or Sit down Shut up and Read) teacher. She told our SSR class that she got to choose the Broadway show that we wanted to see. She told us that there were 4 to choose from (Legally Blonde: The Musical, Mary Poppins, Hairspray), but she couldnt remember the 4th. Everyone that wanted to go on the trip said that they wanted to see Legally Blonde. That's what A and D want to see too!! We cant wait! And D will keep you posted on What the other play mite be!
